The SSCP - Part 2

One of the SSCP gang got married a few years ago. None of the rest of us could make the wedding, so we sent this virtual Congratulations on Your Wedding Card.

It gives you a good sense of the crazy nature of our group.

Check out this entertaining video on how to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. This is something I made with a colleague at work to demonstrate how video could be used in a learning management system. We picked a silly topic to make it fun and so they could focus on the technology we were teaching.

On a lark, I posted it on YouTube, and in the last 9 months it has been viewed more than 1,000 times, and rates 3 out of 6 stars! I find that to be hilarious.

The SSCP - Part 1

When I was in grad school, I made the best friends of my life. We were all residence hall directors, and we did just about everything together. This group got its start in 1987 or 1988, when several of this gang were undergrads and worked as RAs together. I came on the scene in 1989 and others the next year.

We have a very special name for our group. It is the SSCP. Maybe someday I'll reveal what that stands for!

I think we rival all the other popular "group of best friends" gangs that are out there - the Sweet Potato Queens, the Ya-Yas...even the Fat Sisters. We still get together for "Official SSCP Gatherings" every other year.
